About Emma
Emma Vonder Haar fell in love with calligraphy her senior year of college as a graphic design major who was glued to the computer screen. Calligraphy became an outlet to recharge and reconnect with a creative medium done entirely by hand. She began taking on calligraphy clients nearly a decade ago and hasn’t looked back.
In 2017, Emma found a new love with calligraphy: teaching workshops. She loved connecting with students and instilling confidence in beginners. She has shared her love for calligraphy with hundreds of students.
Combining a formal education in graphic design, a career in corporate marketing, and a love for creating hand-drawn type, Emma brings a unique perspective and passion to live calligraphy events.
